Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently under judicial custody in the Renukaswamy murder case, was transferred on Thursday from Parappana Agrahara Central prison to Ballari prison with heightened security measures. The shift to Ballari Central Prison, known as the ‘Kala Pani of Karnataka’ due to its poor amenities, suggests that Darshan may endure a stay there until September. Should there be a court appearance, he is expected to participate through a video call.
